Washingtonia is a genus of palms, native to the southwestern United States. Both Washingtonia species are commonly cultivated across the Southern United States, the Middle East, southern Europe, and north Africa, where they have greatly hybridized.
Care
Keep the soil moist, but not soggy, until the tree shows signs of new growth, which will be evident when small green fronds emerge from the growing tip of the tree. After two to three months, after the root system becomes established, limit the amount of water you give it because it is a desert plant.
