Leucaena leucocephala is a small fast-growing mimosoid tree native to southern Mexico and northern Central America and is now naturalized throughout the tropics. Common names include white leadtree, jumbay, river tamarind, ipil-ipil, and white popinac.
Care
It grows well only in subhumid or humid climates with moderate dry seasons of up to 6-7 months.
