Kalanchoe blossfediana is a tender perennial that has evergreen foliage, and blooms in late winter and early spring. It has thick, oval-shaped leaves. The showy flowers can vary in color, from red, orange, pink, and yellow. Usually grown in containers and makes a great house plant. Flowering Kalanchoe is drought-resistant, and usually susceptible to root rot, so to be watered only when needed. Toxic to animals only, that’s why we don’t recommend it in places they usually stay in, like the living rooms.
